You can start with walking around your neighborhood first to see your ability and speed. Once you have understood yourself, you will be more ready to go out alone.
#7: Check in at the ranger station
Do not skip this step. Give them your personal information and your planned hiking route because they know which routes are open and safest for you.
And remember to mention that you are going alone and check in again when you come back. They will give you useful tips and advice.
